Cabopino Restaurants

Cabopino is a great place for varied and superb quality food.  Cabopino restaurants are very popular with locals and visitors alike, many of the people you will sit next to in the restaurants live here.  Hence most are open all year round.

cabopino restaurants

There is plenty of choice for excellent food. A brief guide to some of the choices you will face each evening! In alphabetic sequence.

Andy’s Beach

One of the most famous and long running restaurants in Cabopino.  Right on the beach to the west of the Marina.  A lively and simple restaurant, often with live music at peak times.  With simple food, good service and a lively bar.  A great place to enjoy winter sun with live music before watching the stunning sunsets in the winter months.

Albert’s – Tel (+34) 952 836 886

Always great food and great service.  They have a large menu with plenty great tasty delights to choose from! Also popular for an excellent relaxing English breakfast. Best to book in summer to get an outside table, and similarly in winter for an inside table!

Bamba Pizza – Previously Florians

Offering a takeaway pizza service in the port.  This restaurant opened during covid restrictions so will hopefully expand once the restrictions lift.

Bar La Plaza

Not one of the Cabopino restuarants but a great bar to get a drink prior to dining, or a drink after dining – just be careful you don’t get too comfortable as you may end up forgetting to dine! We have done often! They do offer a great cheese and meat platter.  This bar is on the side of the round Plaza (square!) just behind the Marina. Brian and Gill are excellent hosts. Due to its off street, away from the water, location this bar is a very relaxing place to sit with drinks while the kids play in the plaza for those with children. Does a fantastic Sangria!

Cabo Pizza (Now sadly closed)

Was a great pizza place at the back of the commercial centre immediately behind the apartment. An easy place to go for a drink and great wines, as well as great pizza.

Cavallino

Possibly the best in the area and definitely the best value for money! Food exactly as you like it cooked, and you are guaranteed the best table in the place with a stunning sea view.

So fire up the barbeque. Get the fresh bread, cheese and Serrano Ham (very popular in Spain and similar to Parma Ham – Jamon de Serrano in Spanish – Jamon is pronounced am-on – while sounding like you a trying to raise a kilo of phlegm from the back of your throat!) from the local supermarket. Remember to also get a nice bottle of Cava or Spanish wine, some Cerveza (beer) and some crisps.

Put on a DVD for the kids (if you have any!) and set up the table on the terrace. Enjoy – while watching the sky change colours at sunset over the med.

Chiringuito Las Dunas

Nice beach side restaurant just about 1km east of the Marina.

Cocoa Beach (formerly La Playa)

Really nice restaurant on the beach just 150m to the east of the marina towards Calahonda with a walkway from the marina.  Same owners as Andy’s Beach, Luna Beach and Simbad el Marinero (also on the beach a little further up the coast towards Marbella past the Triana).  More upmarket than Andy’s beach with live music at times.

Da Bruno’s

Probably the most popular Italian in the area. This one is also the most local formal restaurant to the apartment! About a 100 meter walk. It offers fantastic Italian food, inside and on the terrace.

Due to the reputation and popularity of this restaurant we recommend you book in advance. We have struggled to get a table in November!

Despensa (La)

Excellent Italian restaurant just after Albert’s on the left as you enter the marina. Excellent food and desserts. Nice salads for a refreshing lunch. Kids will love the crepes!  Probably the liveliest of the Cabopino restaurants on a Saturday night – A great place to enjoy live music and dancing.

Döss

The latest restaurant from Marbella’s famous Da Bruno group, located a few 100m along the roads from the existing Da Bruno Italian in the direction of Marbella.  This epically sized restaurant serves a mix of Mediterranean and Asian gastronomy.  Billed as ‘Marbella’s premier fusion dining, live music and cocktail venue’.  They offer a very high quality all you can eat Sunday brunch menu with live music.

Hermosa – Tel (+34) 952 83 74 83

On the right as you enter the marina – possibly the best quality food in the marina – interesting and varied menu, from an ex LA chef. A great place for a special occasion. A favourite along the coast with great food and service.

Jaipur Palace Indian Restaurant

A nice Indian restaurant on the right after the campsite heading towards Marbella.

Javieres Tapas Bar – Taberna los Javiers

A great place for tapas and a lighter bite – Harder to find than the others! From the plaza (the round square if that makes sense!) behind the marina. Take the exit between Gold Coast rentals and Bar la Plaza and the Taberna is just through the exit in front of you.

Jorge’s Diner (Formerly the Pekin chinese)

jorges diner cabopino

Just on the left as you enter the marina, this Cabopino Sports Bar and restaurant is located where the old Pekin Chinese used to be.  Offering American food (home made angus burgers) and very popular for drinks and food.  Loaded with large screens, and a system capable of streaming different sports to different screens, this is the best place to watch sports in the marina.

La Lonja

La Lonja Cabopino Restaurants

Right on the beach as you come onto the beach from the marina to the west.  They they offer good simple food and have live music at peak times.  A great place to be at sunset in the autumn and winter months.

Lady’s Bar – Heladeria – Ice Cream Parlour

On the right as you enter the marina, part of El Cabo. A nice place to sit and relax with an ice cream and a drink during the day. Also nicely sheltered for an ice cream treat in the winter sun.

Le Bash (Closed)

le bash tapas bar in cabopino

Not currently open.  Previously Julies Bar in possibly the best location in the marina, at the end on your left as you walk into the port, this bar overlooks the boats and is a great place for tapas and drinks.

Little Tut

Formerly the Sports bar this is the closest restaurant to the apartment, just 100m away on the back of the commercial centre located behind the Las Mimosas Golf de Cabopino fase 4 urbanisation.  Offering some great and tasty Egyptian cuisine.

Luna Beach

Luna Beach Cabopino Restaurants

A great restaurant a little further afield but a nice walk up the beach towards Calahonda.  To avoid walking on the sand take the back road from the port to the end and then join the beach here.  Same owner as Simbads (and similar cuisine to this great restaurant), Andy’s Beach and Cocoa Beach.

Mario’s Hut (Camping Cabopino)

Just a short walk if you are looking for somewhere simple to eat local without having to walk to the port.  Just walk inside the campsite and turn left and Mario’s Hut restaurant is about 100m in front in a nice wooden lodge.  Great pasta and pizza dishes.  Also a good place for a simple breakfast.

Portofino – previously Caballo del Mar – previously El Cabo – previously El Puerto

Portofino Cabopino Restaurants

An Italian restaurant with two facades looking onto the beach and into the port.

Shebeen

Irish bar and snack place in the round Plaza behind the Marina.

Taj Palace

Indian restaurant in the Cabopino marina. A nice friendly place found in the corner of the round Plaza just behind the Marina. In the summer months it is often easier to get a table here, than in the marina waterfront restaurants. They also have a ‘hidden terrace’ outside the back. The hidden terrace at the back is a great place to eat on a sunny winters day – with the protection from any breezes it gets superbly hot in this little square.

Teo’s Restaurant

Nice restaurant in the corner of the square behind the marina.  Next to Bar La Plaza.

Venta El Camino

A very Spanish simple road side food place offering great value simple catering.  Located on the side of the busy N340 road about 100m on the left after crossing the road bring in front of the apartment. Not a tourist place – If you want to eat with the Spanish locals this is the place.

Cabopino Restaurants – something for all tastes!

Within a 15 minute walk of the apartment you have a wide choice of Cabopino restaurants catering to all tastes.
