Cabopino Beaches
The apartment is within a few hundred yards, about a 10 minute walk, of Cabopino’s three fantastic fine blue flag sandy beaches, where you can find water sports, beach side bars and restaurants.
Las Dunas Beach
This is an epic unspoiled blue flag beach, with a backdrop of natural rolling sand dunes (probably the least built up beach on the Costa del Sol) located just to the west of the marina, after the breakwater. This is the beach which the sophisticated locals travel from as far as Malaga to enjoy!
Several kms of beautiful wooden boardwalks allow you to enjoy the flora and fauna among the unspoiled dunes for a walk in the sun, or to access the beach.
Las Dunas Beach is a superb fine sandy beach which gently slopes into the sea. On this beach you can hire pedalos, jetski’s or take part in other watersports.
Andy’s Beach
Just to the west of Cabopino Marina, Andy’s Beach is probably the best family beach as it is sheltered by a breakwater to the right and the marina wall to the left, forming a nice safe sheltered bay.
Again beautiful fine sands gently sloping into the sea. On Andy Beach you can hire sun beds and parasols, and there are a number of nice beach side restaurants. NB this image was taken in January.
Calahonda Beach
Just to the east of the marina, Calahonda Beach has slightly courser sand and is backed onto by the expensive front line Cabopino villas. On this beach near the marina there is the popular El Realejo chiringuita (Beachside restaurant) serving traditional wood cooked sardines.
